Does the name of the school “Kornerstone” have a special meaning?
Yes. It comes from the word “Cornerstone” which means the foundations of a building. Just as a building requires strong bases for its structure, children need four important basics to fully develop – namely, Critical Thinking and Originality, Intimate Adult-Child Connection, Healthy Personal Habits, Wholesome Character. It is our mission to strive for these goals.
What are some of your major features?
We have three major features:
1. Our masterfully planned and blended curriculum, Stepping Stones™, is based off our specified approach, the newest research and trends to prepare young children to enter their educational career. Stepping Stones™ guides our teachers through each day, enriching the classroom environment through S.T.R.E.A.M. ( Science, Technology, Reading, Engineering, Arts, Math), building each child’s self-esteem, facilitating smooth transitions between activities and creating a literacy-rich and multicultural environment where each child will be comfortable to explore.
2. In addition, we provide an abundance of reading materials at our library, including children’s books from around the world, to cultivate a strong sense of curiosity in every child to become a life-long reader.
3. Our special 3D curriculum also strengthens the skills required for early literacy, which brings revelation to our kids as their senses are fortified and participation reinforced during these activities.

What is the best age to start childcare?
The core of Stepping Stone's teaching system is primarily inspired by mainstream American education, which has long integrated the core ideas of psychologists and educators from the past three centuries. Stepping Stone blends innovative educational philosophies, teaching practices, and creative courses. The influence of these educational pioneers can be seen in our teaching tools and educational spirit, including figures like Froebel in Germany, Steiner in Austria, Piaget in Switzerland, Dewey in the United States, and Malaguzzi in modern Italy.
What factors matter most when choosing a childcare center?
Each family has different needs when it comes to looking for a childcare center. It’s a good idea to rank the factors below in accordance with your family’s needs to guide your decision-making process after you’ve completed a tour.
Key Factors to Consider:
Education Program: Does the education program align with your beliefs about what early education should be for your child? Will the education program support and nurture your child during the most important years of their early education?
Reputation: Does the childcare centre you’re considering have a good reputation? Talk to parents in the local area who have sent their child to the service and look at what families are saying online via reviewing platforms such as Care for Kids and Google Reviews. Welcoming and Positive Atmosphere: Do the children and the staff at the centre look happy and engaged? Can you feel a positive vibe throughout the centre?
